Cedric Alexander Thurman is an AI Creative Director and image-maker working at the intersection of brand, art, film, and emerging technology.
Based in Chicago, his practice moves fluidly between advertising and contemporary art—building visual worlds that feel cinematic, culturally grounded, and intentional. He has led and contributed to campaigns for brands and institutions including ESPN, Blue Shield of California, Coca-Cola, and the San Francisco Ballet, translating strategy and cultural insight into images that travel across film, photography, digital, experiential, and print.
Alongside commercial work, Cedric maintains an active fine-art and curatorial practice. His abstract paintings and exhibitions have been shown at RFA Gallery, The Silver Room, and the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity exhibition. As a curator, he has shaped exhibitions and cultural programs for Soho House, Reebok, and independent art spaces across Chicago, Brooklyn, and New Orleans.
Increasingly, his work explores how AI and emerging tools can be used as creative instruments—not shortcuts—to expand visual language, accelerate ideation, and build new image systems rooted in authorship and intention.
Across every project, Cedric treats image-making as world-building: work that can sell a product, hold space for a community, or sit quietly on a wall and still shift how a room feels.
